Waterwoods Lodge & Resorts

Nagarhole Tiger Reserve

Established in 1999, Waterwoods was the first private lodge at Nagarhole National Park. Our boutique wildlife lodge has an exclusive river front access of the Kabini Backwaters. Located between two famous Tiger Reserves (Nagarhole and Bandipur), the lodge enjoys a panoramic view of mist-clad blue skies and the Brahmagiri mountain range in the background. In this eco-spiritual abode of the Kapila River (Kabini), the Waterwoods team is driven to bring change and add value to the forests, wildlife and the local communities. We welcome you to experience the next level of luxury at our Waterwoods Lodge, Kabini.

Please to visit our facebook page for current images and updates on the property and wildlife sighting.

Waterwoods has recently remodelled all it rooms and infrastructure. The rooms are designed to bring the views of Kabini into your private setting. Although we provide air conditioning in all rooms, we are fortunate in Kabini to be blessed with excellent wind conditions for most of the year and our rooms are designed for excellent cross-ventilation. The freshness of the cool oxygen-rich Kabini winds coming in from the Nilgiri biosphere is something we encourage our discerning guests to experience at night. We also provide smart LED TVs, DVD players, and pressurised rain showers in all the guestroom toilets.

The Waterwoods family believes that the kitchen is like a temple. Waterwoods grows most of the vegetables used in the resort's cooking in its greenhouse and it is free of any pesticides or inorganic fertilisers. The cooking styles practiced here are as close to a typical Indian home-cooked meal as possible. We have strict rules for maintaining hygiene. At Waterwoods, the tariff includes all three meals served in buffet style. There are also in-room dining options (extra charges apply) which include tandoor, wood fire pizzas, grill, and a choice of Italian, Chinese and Thai dishes.

New additions include an Infinity Ozone swimming pool, river-front dining deck, an upgraded kitchen, a spa and an indoor conference facility for corporate travellers.
