Falcon Travel

Headquartered in Ramnagar, Falcon Travel organises tours for travellers wanting to explore the Himalayan states of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Co-founded by conservationist Kiran Sagar and travel enthusiast Mahesh, Falcon Travel offers a variety of tour packages to Corbett National Park, Nainital, Bhimtal, Ramgarh, Mukteshwar, Ranikhet and also religious destinations such as Haridwar, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri and Hemkund Sahib.

Born and brought up in Ramnagar, Mr Sagar grew up to be a great conservationist. Besides working as a nature guide, ornithologist and wildlife expert, he also gained solid experience in hospitality from his time in hotel operations. Mr. Sagar has appeared on several national television channels for his knowledge in the field of conservation and major accomplishments as a wildlife expert in the Corbett National Park. He has also participated in television shows with world-famous angler Jakub Vagnor. Mr. Sagar’s unparalleled experience and knowledge came to the front when in April 2011 he took an active role in organising and producing a special programme on Corbett’s freshwater sharks.

Mr. Mahesh, on the other hand, is a passionate traveller who has great insights into the hospitality and tourism sector. His idea of success is to “make the customer feel like a king.”

Falcon Travels understands its responsibility towards preservation, conservation and protection of the Corbett park’s ecosystem and its wild inhabitants. They strive to follow responsible wildlife tourism practices and educate tourists about the protection of animals and the forests that shelter them.

Responsible Travel

Since responsible travel is based on the principles of sustainability, Falcon Travel is conscious of the environmental, social and economic dimensions of their trips. Having understood that well-conceived tourism can empower local communities, this travel company works to minimise the impact of travellers, and maximise benefits for local economies and environments. They encourage tourists to reduce carbon footprint during travel, minimise flying times and stopovers, use water sparingly, and maintain the pristine nature of the spots tourists are taken to. Since responsible tourism is also culturally-sensitive and encourages respect between tourists and hosts, Falcon Travel recommends that tourists opt for local food over imported goods, and educate themselves about the local culture and environmental issues in their chosen destinations.
