With unseasonally early hot heat with temperatures in the 40 degree zone, Tadoba's Telia Lake zone is experiencing fierce bush fires raging around a large part of its most photogenic lake shores, home to a number of its most photographed tigers. With bone dry understory the fires spread rapidly often jumping across the many firebreaks made in these forests.

No further information yet on its effect on the wildlife or size of the fires though it is known that forests guards and many guides have tried to fight it.
