Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary

MUBA’S MACHAAN, a wildlife resort built almost entirely of wood and thatch in keeping with its surroundings, is located in the village of Barbaspur, on the edge of Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary and is 1.5 km from the Barbaspur Gate.  The resort is surrounded by lush green trees and serves as a wonderful gallery for viewing wildlife.  The grounds include a fishing pond and on offer also, are nature walks, birdwatching, village tour, bullock cart rides and trekking with an in-house naturalist.

Ten stand alone, well-furnished fully wooden Machaans (houses on stilts), with rustic wooden interiors; attached wooden bathrooms with hot and cold-water facilities; and balconies


The multi cuisine restaurant offers a buffet spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Outdoor dining is also available. Breakfast is a varied combination of different cuisines. Lunch and Dinner is Indian and Mughlai cuisine. Food can be prepared non-spicy for visiting foreigners on special request. A Special Kids’ menu is available from 6.00-8.00pm serving non-spicy and appealing food for children. Coffee, tea and cookies are available throughout the day.
