Welcome to TOFT

We believe that responsible nature tourism is one of India's most important, yet often unrecognised, conservation tools.

Our desire is that all those involved in 'Tiger tourism', including tour operators and agents, accommodation providers, local services and NGO's, local communties, park management, and of course visitors will join together to halt the demise of the Tiger.

Through collective :

  • and better public/private communication, vision and enterprise
  • establishment of 'best practices' within the wildlife tourism industry,
  • adherance to a recognised Codes of Business and Visitors conduct in wilderness areas,
  • and better support and opportunities for local communities through the 'tourism' resource,
  • and better governance by park management and staff
  • financial support for Tiger Parks and far greater law enforcements efforts by the Government

We believe that nature tourism can help to halt the Tiger's demise in Tiger Parks in India and indeed help restore huge swathes of wilderness landscape outside of these areas - if given strong community and governmental support, the necessary scientific tools, suitable expertise, and the relevant authority to do this.
