6th June – Award-winning tailor-made tour operator, Imagine Travel, is offering complimentary tickets to attend a Tiger talk event.

The event will be held on the evening of Thursday 6th June, 2019 at St. Mary’s church in Putney. There will be an introduction to India’s national parks from guest speaker Julian Matthews, of the Nature Stewardship alliance charity TOFTigers, before Dr. Raghu Chundawat, a leading tiger scientist, shares his incredible knowledge about this elusive animal. This will be followed by a Q&A with Imagine Travel’s experts and time to mingle over drinks. There will also be an exclusive event offer for everyone who attends. Join Imagine Travel to delve beneath the surface of tiger country.

One of India’s leading wildlife researchers, Dr. R. S. Chundawat has travelled extensively in the Indian subcontinent. He has been involved intimately in the conservation of high altitude wildlife and is an expert in large carnivores in the region. He is very closely involved with tiger conservation and completed a ten-year study to determine the ecological requirement for tigers in a dry tropical forest in Panna National Park in India. The significant contribution of his research and conservation work has been widely recognised: he is the recipient of several awards and his work with the tigers in Panna has also been made into a film for the BBC and Animal Planet –‘Tigers of the Emerald Forest’.

Eco-entrepreneur, ex safari operator, conservationist, guide and writer, Julian Matthews has dedicated the last fifteen years to the plight of the tiger. Having walked and travelled across huge swathes of India’s once mighty forests, and run numerous safari and walking tours with his own nature and safari travel business, he set up a charity called TOFTigers, as a tiger conservation tool to drive better nature tourism across the Indian subcontinent, modelled on the best examples from around the world.
