He has worked for two decades in the Indian Subcontinent to rewild and conserve the Indian forests through the TOFTigers campaign and bring awareness to the travel trade community. Currently he is doing rewilding in UK. He founded in the early 1990’s a safari and conservation travel business, Discovery Initiatives, now part of the Steppes Travel Group.
Mr. Praveen Pardeshi
With 38 years of experience in the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Mr. Pardeshi has served in various senior executive roles. He is an avid wildlife enthusiast who has severed as the Principal Secretary, Revenue and Forest. He has always Pushed for forest conservation while ensuring livelihoods for tribal people dwelling in the forests.
Mr. Bittu Sehgal
Mr. Sahgal, the esteemed founder and editor of Sanctuary Asia, India’s foremost magazine on nature, wildlife, conservation, and the environment, is a highly regarded author, editor, and conservationist in India. With a deep commitment to raising awareness, he has published a multitude of impactful works, including coffee table books showcasing India’s national parks and sanctuaries.
Dr. Anish Andheria
Conservation Photographer and President, Wildlife Conservation Trust, Dr. Anish Andheria is a wildlife photographer of repute and a Carl Zeiss Conservation Awardee. Packed with a lifetime of experiences. Member of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA); Member of the State Boards of Wildlife of Maharashtra and Jammu & Kashmir.
Mr. Ram Pratap Singh
Ram Pratap Singh, Director of Mela Kothi, Chambal Safari Lodge, is a leader in social entrepreneurship and conservation. He founded Chambal Agritech Incubator Producer Company Ltd., promoting regional agricultural growth. Passionate about nature education, he established the Indian School of Nature. With pivotal roles in Uttar Pradesh’s tourism and wildlife conservation sectors, including with the Turtle Survival Alliance, he champions responsible tourism initiatives.
Mr. Michael Dominic
Michael Dominic, a commerce graduate from Sacred Hearts College and holder of a PG Diploma in Hotel Management from Indian Institute of Hotel Management & Catering, transitioned to his family business in 1991. He played a key role in establishing Spice Village and Bangaram Island resorts. Currently serving as Managing Director of CGH Earth, his expertise enriches TOFTigers Advisory Board. An enthusiast of trekking and bird photography, he brings diverse passions to his role.
Mr. Manav Khanduja
Manav’s passion for nature led him to pursue environmental law, ultimately intertwining with his love for wildlife. Fieldwork on projects like the Great Indian Bustard and Bengal Florican ignited his interest in conservation. As the visionary behind Pugdundee Safaris, he redefined India’s wildlife travel, emphasizing conservation and community alliance. His dedication to sustainability makes Pugdundee Safaris a trusted brand in authentic wildlife experiences.
Mr. Vikram Madhok
Vikram Madhok, with over 35 years of experience in tourism and hospitality, currently serves as Managing Director of Abercrombie & Kent India. He has previously held leadership roles with TAJ and The Oberoi Group, and prominent positions including Chairman of WTTC India, President of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce and Vice Chairman at PATA. An extensive traveler and avid golfer, Vikram’s expertise in global travel dynamics enriches his contributions to sustainable tourism initiatives at TOFTigers.
Ms. Akanksha Garg
As Founder Director & CEO (Resorts) of Waxpol Hotels and Resorts Ltd, Ms. Garg is a stalwart of responsible tourism. Her leadership spans key roles in organizations such as The Responsible Tourism Society of India and the ATOAI Women’s Collective. With a focus on sustainability, she actively contributes to CII, Indian Hospitality Network, and Swiss Education Group, aligning seamlessly with TOFTigers’ mission.
Ms. Soity Banerjee
Soity Banerjee, a seasoned travel and food writer for 20 years, explores themes of identity and sustainability on media platforms, such as Outlook Traveller, Conde Nast Traveller, National Geographic Traveller, India Today etc. As Project Editor at Outlook Responsible Tourism Initiative, affiliated with UNWTO, she promotes responsible travel in India and South Asia. Collaborating with government bodies and eco-friendly travel enterprises, she advocates for a sustainable tourism ethos.
Mr. Paras Loomba
Paras Loomba, an engineer turned social entrepreneur, is passionate about sustainable tourism and clean energy. Through Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE), he brings clean energy to remote Himalayan villages, transforming lives. GHE’s innovative models have solar-powered 230+ villages and established 100+ rural enterprises, earning acclaim from UNFCCC, WTTC, and UNWTO. Featured in BBC and National Geographic, GHE, under Paras’s leadership, leads the way in sustainable tourism and clean energy access.
