Once again the selfless service of those who remain unsung for their efforts in Nature and wildlife conservation were recognized by TOFTigers at their annual awards event held at their New Delhi residence of the High Commissioner of UK, Sir James Bevan.

SAI Sactuary (Save Animal Initiative), has won the prestigious Sanctuary TOFTigers Wildlife Award in the Wildlife Tourism section for the year 2014.

TOFTigers estimated that a single tigress in a Ranthambhore had generated a staggering amount of well over US$1500 million in revenue for the National Park.

Winners were announced for the Sanctuary TOFTigers Wildlife Tourism Awards at a glittering ceremony at the British High Commissioner’s residential lawns in New Delhi. The event was attended by the great and the good of the nature tourism industry including the Secretary of Tourism Parvez Dewan and the Deputy Chief of Bodoland Territorial Council besides others. The reputed wildlife magazine of India, Sanctuary Asia Sanctuaryasia.com and nature tourism action charity had again come together to present the 3rd Sanctuary TOFTigers Wildlife Tourism Awards 2014. The motive was to acknowledge and reward those businesses, communities, service providers and individuals who were ushering others to the wildlife destinations of Indian Subcontinent.

Dehradun; As part of the Sanctuary Travel Operators for Tigers (TOFT) Wildlife Tourism Awards 2014, local guide Ramesh Suyal operating in Corbett tiger reserve has been awarded the Billy Arjan Singh Memorial Award for Wildlife Guide of the Year. The award sponsored by Indian Wildlife Experiences also carries a cash award of ?20,000. The Sanctuary TOFTigers Wildlife Tourism Awards were announced recently at a function in New Delhi.
