One of the world’s most-respected explorers, conservationist and veteran of over 60 expeditions, Col Blashford-Snell was the first to navigate the Blue Nile and Zaire rivers, before forming the Scientific Exploration Society. He founded the highly-successful youth expeditionary organisations, Operation Drake and Operation Raleigh. Awarded the CBE in 2019, he has authored several books, including In the Steps of Stanley and Mammoth Hunt based on his wildlife adventures in Nepal and India’s tiger reserves, and his autobiography Something Lost Behind the Ranges. His support for TOFTigers since its founding has been invaluable.
