Professional Naturalist Training (PRONAT)
The excitement of discovering uncharted terrain, learning the cycles of wildlife, and revealing the mysteries of nature is no longer the exclusive preserve of professional scientists. With the Pugdundee’s Professional Naturalist Training Program (PRONAT), one with any background now has a chance to engage intimately with the natural world. PRONAT is back for its 8th edition this year, with an immersive 21-day experience that can be life-changing experience.
Hosted at Denwa Backwater Escape in Satpura, PRONAT VIII will take place from August 18 to September 8, 2025. This thoughtfully crafted course includes a vast range of modules covering birds, mammals, trees, butterflies, amphibians, reptiles, conservation methods, first aid, and more. With each module aimed at creating a comprehensive grasp of the natural world, theory is skillfully blended with practical field experience.
PRONAT has developed into a pillar of naturalist training within the area. In the past seven years, 150+ graduates have moved through the program, equipped to pursue a career in wildlife or simply participate as an informed citizen in conservation.
