CHATTISGARH
Rightly known as ‘The Land of Surprises’, Chhattisgarh is blessed with some pristine forest covers, splendid caves, hilly terrain, cascading waterfalls and rich tribal culture. With more than 44% of its total area under forest cover, the state has moist and dry deciduous vegetation. Bamboo is abundant as well. Chhattisgarh is also home to the Chitrakoot Falls – a tourist hotspot touted as the mini-Niagra for its great height and width. With a monsoon-dependent weather pattern, the forests of Chhattisgarh sustain tigers, elephants, wild boar, Indian gazelle, chitals, nilgai, gaurs, four-horned antelope, chinkara, striped hyena, and porcupines – to name a few. Most of the destinations in this state are underexplored, catching visitors by surprise with the unique experiences on offer.
