The travel and trade industry has historically been laggards in waking up to the demand for sustainability – paying lip service to the idea – with just a few providers seeking to deliver sustainable tourism and travel. Even Booking.com has not cared till recently – but delighted to say the sector is finally putting it a centre stage. We now need action from everyone – especially consumers to demand it – not just words.
