Located on the edge of the beautiful Kishanpur Sanctuary, Camp Tiger Lily prides itself in being part of an exquisite wilderness area, and a retreat experience catered to ensure well- being and rejuvenation. The Kishanpur Sanctuary itself was founded in 1972, is situated near the Mailani region of Uttar Pradesh, covers an area of 227 sq. km, and is a part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. When Dudhwa became a part of Project Tiger, the area of the Kishanpur Sanctuary was added to create the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in 1988. The vegetation of the reserve is that of a riparian forest and Teak, Sal and Jamun dominate the tree species found here. Apart from the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, the forests are home to nearly 450+ species of birds and charismatic, and often endangered species like the swamp deer (Barasingha), One- horned Rhinoceros, Hog deer, Otters, sambar, chital, leopards among other...s. A biodiverse hotspot, the wilds of the Terai is where you should immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and enjoy a transformational experience!

Undertake nature walks, tree walks, bird walks, visit to the local Village, farm Visit, star-gazing, scavenger hunts, gardening classes ( For smaller children), visit to Frog temple, Oel / Khairigarh Palace, day visit to Dhangarhi, Nepal, riverside picnics and those who want to indulge in some serious photography, bird hides are available for photography.

At Camp Tiger Lily, you can focus on reconnecting with nature, away from the madding city crowds, by choosing from two categories of rooms. While one room (forest view) is about 390 sq. ft., has a view of the forest and a gorgeous ‘verandah’ (outdoor seating/balcony), the other room category (forest view+ plunge pool) is about 450 sq. ft., has an indoor heated plunge pool, an outdoor shower and a verandah, from where you can enjoy the serenity of the region and even chance upon sighting smaller animals and a myriad of bird species!
  • The food at the camp is prepared keeping the safest agricultural practices (nature – friendly pest control, natural fertilisers) at the heart of it, and making sure that the guests are provided with multiple food options made with the freshest ingredients from the expertly maintained kitchen garden where garlic, ginger, and herbs like mint and coriander, are locally grown, along with fruiting trees. The abundance of fruiting trees also ensures regular visits by birds into our gardens thereby transforming it into a haven for bird watchers!

It would be fair to say that a well-known conservationist, ‘Billy’ Arjan Singh, put Dudhwa on the map for wildlife tourists in India. Uttar Pradesh’s last viable tiger habitat, Dudhwa Tiger Reserve comprises the three protected areas of Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary, Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary and Dudhwa National Park.
