The recently-renovated Pench Jungle Camp sits in an enviable position next to the Turia Gate of Pench National Park where parts of Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book were brought to life. The camp is low-key and rustic - perfect for an authentic adventure in India’s verdant hinterlands. The cottages, rooms and canvas tents on offer for accommodation have been built with indigenous materials and decked up with native art and wooden beds. There’s plenty of space to cool off, whether you make the most of the huge pile of wildlife books in the lounge, take a refreshing dip in the small outdoor pool or sneak off for a refreshing massage in the jungle.
