Tigers Roaring reaches 54 National parks of India

India is home to over 70% of the world’s tigers and Tiger signifies strength and power in Indian culture.The government of India has initiated various programs related to the conservation of the Tiger population. The Guru Ghasidas National Park and the Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary are the newest Tiger Reserve added to the list of Tiger Reserves of India in 2023. National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) has approved the Chhattisgarh government’s proposal to declare the combined areas of the Guru Ghasidas National Park and Tamor Pingla Wildlife Sanctuary as a Tiger Reserve.The new Reserve is located in the northern part of the state, bordering Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. This is the fourth Tiger Reserve in Chhattisgarh, after the Udanti-Sitanadi, Achanakmar, and Indravati Reserves.The proposal was accepted by the NTCA considering its importance as it acts as a corridor for tigers moving between Bandhavgarh (Madhya Pradesh) and Palamu Tiger Reserve (Jharkhand).
