PUG Certification

The TOFTigers PUG and Footprint certifications or ‘kitemarks’ , with PUG recognised by the UN-backed Global Sustainable Tourism Council, and Footprint working within the Tourism Ministry’s Indian Sustainable Tourism Criteria (ISTC), represents South Asia’s  highest standards in eco-auditing for nature and eco-friendly based accommodation providers. It operates either in or around wildlife parks, sanctuaries or areas of outstanding natural beauty, or in other rural destinations, across the Indian subcontinent. Its sets the highest standards for driving up operational best practices in sustainable and nature tourism.

Its aim is to ensure the ongoing conservation of wildlife habitats and its protection, conservation and rehabilitation, with nature focused tourism as a conservation and rural poverty alleviation driver and sustainable monitoring tool.
